Description
When a soul leaves this dimension upon death, it can sometimes accend into the world created by the person's imagination during life, an Illusion. However there are people whose souls are so much tormented by emptiness and their own desire to disappear completely that their souls only long for nowhere and their last wish is simply ceasing to exist. And these are taken and embraced by the black waters of Lethe, the river of Oblivion.
In the dark depths there are many various ancient creatures hiding. And when one more lost soul is taken by the waters of Lethe, a strange octopus-like white creature comes from the depth. It carefully collects the bitterest memories of the soul which from that on become the only memory left of that person.

I do think the little starfish kind of keep drawing my eye away from the octopus, though, but the creature himself is really, really good!
